TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1: Week 10 (13/10/25 - 17/10/25)

During Week 10, the teaching practice was a blend of academic and experiential learning that left a deep, meaningful impact. The week began with conducting a diagnostic test (Day 39), which helped identify students' learning gaps and inspired the use of remedial measures and gamified rewards (points & badges) to boost engagement. On Day 40, the focus shifted to remedial teaching for struggling students, a refreshing yoga session, and a conscientization programme on health & wealth, highlighting the importance of holistic education. Day 41 combined a math class on negative numbersusing real‑world examples like temperatures to make the concept tangible with a Hand Wash Day health session, reinforcing that a teacher’s role extends beyond textbooks to shaping healthy habits. The week culminated on Day 42, the last day of the first teaching phase, where teaching New Numbers and organizing a drawing competition created memorable experiences. TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 : Week 9(6/10/25 - 10/10/25)

Week 9 of your teaching practice was an intense, rewarding sprint of events and learning. You kicked it off on Monday (6/10/25, Day 34) with the Kalolsavam programme, arriving early to help set up and later serving as a judge, which gave you a deep sense of honour and insight into students’ hidden talents and the cultural vibrancy of the school. The next day, Tuesday (7/10/25, Day 35), was the second day of School Kalolsavam, where you soaked in the students’ confidence, creativity, and dedication during music, recitation, and artistic performances, reinforcing how co‑curricular activities fuel holistic development and motivate you as a trainee teacher. On Wednesday (8/10/25, Day 36), you shifted to academics: distributing Achievement Test answer sheets, guiding students to avoid exam mistakes, and conducting gamified maths lessons (Lesson Plans 2 & 3). You noticed strong student cooperation and a positive attitude, making the gamification approach effective and the day produc...

TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1: Week 8 ( 29/9/25 - 4/10/25)

Week 8 of my teaching practice was a blend of substitution classes, revision sessions, and assessments. I managed attendance, prayers, teaching, and exams while staying punctual and organized. A highlight was using gamification (points, badges, rewards) in a lesson on Solutions of Equations, making the class lively and motivating students to participate actively. I also dedicated a full day to revising three chapters: Square Identities, Polygons and Solutions of Equations summarizing concepts, clearing doubts, and encouraging independent problem-solving. Students showed growing interest in mathematics, sharing their own methods and applying prior knowledge effectively. I conducted an achievement test after an 8-day holiday, giving clear instructions and extra time, and emphasized patience, observation, and fairness in evaluation. Post-exam, students expressed confidence, which boosted my morale and highlighted their progress, strengths, and areas for improvement. Managing the exam...
