COMATICS: Commerce & Mathematics Association Inauguration 2K24

 COMEX and NUMINA, the Commerce and Mathematics Associations of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly launched 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at the College Auditorium. 




The event started with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Aiswarya M., Mathematics Association Secretary. Dr. Renginy K.R., Commerce teacher-in-charge, presided over the session. The principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, inaugurated both associations, highlighting maths' universal relevance and commerce's daily impact. She praised the joint inauguration, showcasing maths' correlation with other subjects.

The programme featured a logo reveal for NUMINA and felicitations from college union leaders. Ms. Arya A.R., Commerce Association Treasurer, delivered a vote of thanks, wrapping up the event.


The "Hello Leader Contest" kicked off after the official inauguration, featuring first-semester B.Ed. Commerce and Maths students. 

The contest had three rounds:

1. A logical reasoning quiz narrowed it down to 15 students.

2. Group skit on 'Workplace Problem-Solving' (3 groups of 5) - Group 1 rocked the stage!

3. Individual interviews assessed leadership skills - Dr. Renjany K.R. and Dr. Sony Mary Varghese grilled 'em .

Ms. Sandra Saju S (Physical Science) emerged victorious, winning Rs 501,Dr. Sony Mary Varghese handed over the prize. The engaging event wrapped up at 1:30 pm.

  The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024, with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Principal Dr. Jiby George, setting the tone for the event. Rev. Ms. Archana B, an alumni and Communicative English Trainer, spoke on "Fluent Futures Communicative English". Aji M, Josekutty, and Sangeeth S Kini offered felicitations, and Parvathy K Pillai proposed a vote of thanks, wrapping up the ceremony that began at 10:30 am.

Online Seminar " Cases and Causes that Truly Matter"

  An Online talk series on "Cases and Causes that Truly Matter" the free voice was organised by Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on August 2nd,2024, at 6:30 PM. The session was very insightful, focusing on the memoirs of special education, and was led by Dr. Anu Mukund, a lecturer in English at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram.
