TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 : Week 9(6/10/25 - 10/10/25)

Week 9 of your teaching practice was an intense, rewarding sprint of events and learning. You kicked it off on Monday (6/10/25, Day 34) with the Kalolsavam programme, arriving early to help set up and later serving as a judge, which gave you a deep sense of honour and insight into students’ hidden talents and the cultural vibrancy of the school.

The next day, Tuesday (7/10/25, Day 35), was the second day of School Kalolsavam, where you soaked in the students’ confidence, creativity, and dedication during music, recitation, and artistic performances, reinforcing how co‑curricular activities fuel holistic development and motivate you as a trainee teacher.

On Wednesday (8/10/25, Day 36), you shifted to academics: distributing Achievement Test answer sheets, guiding students to avoid exam mistakes, and conducting gamified maths lessons (Lesson Plans 2 & 3). You noticed strong student cooperation and a positive attitude, making the gamification approach effective and the day productive.

Thursday (9/10/25, Day 37) brought Sports Day, where you managed the scoring list for sports events, learning the value of fairness, transparency, teamwork, and event‑management skills while witnessing students’ energetic, disciplined participation.

The week wrapped up on Friday (10/10/25, Day 38) with more Sports Day duties maintaining house‑wise scoring sheets and observing excellent sportsmanship among students, which strengthened your understanding of how sports build discipline, teamwork, and confidence.

Overall, Week 9 blended cultural celebration, academic instruction, and sports organisation, sharpening your skills in event management, fair assessment, innovative teaching (gamification), and appreciating students’ talents and spirit. You emerged with deeper confidence in handling diverse responsibilities and a clearer view of holistic education’s impact.
