TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1 : Week 6 (15/9/25 - 17/9/25)

 

Week 6 of my teaching practice was an enrich­ingly productive stretch focused on the unit Solutions of Equations for Standard VIII, Division A. The week began with introducing the chapter on adding, subtracting, multiplication & division of equations (Day 23), where I handled a substitution class for 8A and received valuable feedback from Aswarya Miss on Lesson Plan 32, which boosted my confidence in managing the class and making the sessions interactive. On Day 24, I taught Lesson Plan 33 on Different kinds of change in the 3rd period, witnessing attentive participation and lively Q&A, followed by involvement in the school’s Kalolsavam preparations and taking charge of the Red House, which gave me hands‑on experience in extracurricular leadership.

  The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024, with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Principal Dr. Jiby George, setting the tone for the event. Rev. C.I. Jose delivered the presidential address, followed by Principal Alie Mollie Verghis introducing the B.Ed. programme. Ms. Archana B, an alumni and Communicative English Trainer, spoke on "Fluent Futures Communicative English". Aji M, Josekutty, and Sangeeth S Kini offered felicitations, and Parvathy K Pillai proposed a vote of thanks, wrapping up the ceremony that began at 10:30 am.

  An Online talk series on "Cases and Causes that Truly Matter" the free voice was organised by Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on August 2nd,2024, at 6:30 PM. The session was very insightful, focusing on the memoirs of special education, and was led by Dr. Anu Mukund, a lecturer in English at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram.

COMATICS: Commerce & Mathematics Association Inauguration 2K24

 COMEX and NUMINA, the Commerce and Mathematics Associations of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly launched 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at the College Auditorium.  The event started with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Aiswarya M., Mathematics Association Secretary. Dr. Renginy K.R., Commerce teacher-in-charge, presided over the session. The principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, inaugurated both associations, highlighting maths' universal relevance and commerce's daily impact. She praised the joint inauguration, showcasing maths' correlation with other subjects. The programme featured a logo reveal for NUMINA and felicitations from college union leaders.
