TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 1: Week 3 (4/8/25 - 8/8/25)
In Week 3 of my teaching practice, I focused on the unit Square Identities, covering topics like Square of Differences and Problems on Difference of Squares for Standard VIII‑A. The week started with Lesson Plan 12 on the Square of Differences in Period 6, where students showed good interest and solved problems correctly, making the class smooth and boosting my confidence in managing them. In the 7th period I took a substitution, using games and word puzzles to keep students attentive and engaged, which gave me valuable experience in cooperative classroom strategies. Subsequent days included teaching Lesson Plans 13‑19, handling Problems on Squares of Differences and Difference of Squares with both traditional and ICT‑based methods. Students participated actively, asked questions, and worked independently, which strengthened my lesson‑delivery skills. The week also involved coordinating a Hiroshima Day special assembly, organizing a quiz, and managing an Eye Camp, assigning duties for class‑wise check‑ups. These co‑curricular activities enriched my experience in handling academic and extracurricular responsibilities, enhancing my overall teaching confidence and classroom engagement abilities.
