Weekly Assembly 2024 - November 04, 2024

 

The Weekly Assembly of Peet Memorial Training College was conducted on November 4, 2024, at 10:00 am. The event commenced with the College Prayer Song, 'Lead, Kindly Light...', followed by the National Pledge, recited by Ms Aswani L. Inspirational quotes from the Holy Bible, Bhagwat Geeta, and the Holy Quran were recited by Mr Meril Iype Shaji, Ms Sinu Sam, and Ms Shafina Kabir, respectively.

The thought for the day was presented by Ms Sruthy M Nair, who delivered a speech on Swami Vivekananda. This was followed by a book review of 'Chindambarasmaranakal', a collection of poems by Balachandra Chullikkad, presented by Mr John Anil. Ms Lintu Mohan presented the daily news based on Malayalam newspapers, and Ms Haritha Raju read the campus news.

A quiz on General Knowledge and fairy tales was conducted by Ms Maya M and Mr Joyal Joseph. The assembly was hosted by Ms Roshna Sabu and concluded at 10:50 am.

  The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024, with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Principal Dr. Jiby George, setting the tone for the event. Rev. C.I. Jose delivered the presidential address, followed by Principal Alie Mollie Verghis introducing the B.Ed. programme. Ms. Archana B, an alumni and Communicative English Trainer, spoke on "Fluent Futures Communicative English". Aji M, Josekutty, and Sangeeth S Kini offered felicitations, and Parvathy K Pillai proposed a vote of thanks, wrapping up the ceremony that began at 10:30 am.

Online Seminar " Cases and Causes that Truly Matter"

  An Online talk series on "Cases and Causes that Truly Matter" the free voice was organised by Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on August 2nd,2024, at 6:30 PM. The session was very insightful, focusing on the memoirs of special education, and was led by Dr. Anu Mukund, a lecturer in English at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram.

COMATICS: Commerce & Mathematics Association Inauguration 2K24

 COMEX and NUMINA, the Commerce and Mathematics Associations of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly launched 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at the College Auditorium.  The event started with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Aiswarya M., Mathematics Association Secretary. Dr. Renginy K.R., Commerce teacher-in-charge, presided over the session. The principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, inaugurated both associations, highlighting maths' universal relevance and commerce's daily impact. She praised the joint inauguration, showcasing maths' correlation with other subjects. The programme featured a logo reveal for NUMINA and felicitations from college union leaders.
