Second Semester B.Ed. Field Trip Travelogue @ Vagamon - June 11, 2025

 The second semester B.Ed. curriculum field trip, organized by Pedagogiezz (B.Ed. Batch 2024-2026) of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, took place on June 12, 2025, to Vagamon and Paruthumpara. The journey commenced at 05:25 am from the college premises.



The trip coordinators were Sefon Sanu Mathew and Joyal Joseph, with Dr. Sony Mary Varghese, Dr. Mumtas S., and Dr. Velayudhan T. Nair accompanying as faculty escorts. Thrilok Holidays & Packages, Komalloor, Chunakara, arranged the field trip package.

Upon departure, Joyal Joseph, batch representative of the Dyuthi College Union, led the group in a prayer after attendance was taken. Additional students joined the trip at Mamkamkuzhy, Pandalam, Kaipattoor, and Peerumede.

The route taken was Tharakara-Mamkamkuzhy-Pandalam-Kaipattoor-Pathanamthitta-Ranni-Erumeli-Mundakayam-Kuttikanam-Peerumede en route to Paruthumpara. Breakfast was served at Rani Family Restaurant, Mundakayam, between 07:18 am and 08:12 am.



The field trip visited Valanjanganam Waterfall (8:32-8:43 am), Paruthumpara Eagle Rock (trekking and photos, left at 11:54 am), Pine Valley, Vagamon (12:45-1:55 pm), and Vagamon Kurishumala (3:20-4:45 pm, trekking and visit). Lunch was at Anoki Restaurant, Vagamon. Students explored sites, took photos, and trekked with teachers .

  The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024, with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Principal Dr. Jiby George, setting the tone for the event. Rev. C.I. Jose delivered the presidential address, followed by Principal Alie Mollie Verghis introducing the B.Ed. programme. Ms. Archana B, an alumni and Communicative English Trainer, spoke on "Fluent Futures Communicative English". Aji M, Josekutty, and Sangeeth S Kini offered felicitations, and Parvathy K Pillai proposed a vote of thanks, wrapping up the ceremony that began at 10:30 am.

  An Online talk series on "Cases and Causes that Truly Matter" the free voice was organised by Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on August 2nd,2024, at 6:30 PM. The session was very insightful, focusing on the memoirs of special education, and was led by Dr. Anu Mukund, a lecturer in English at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram.

COMATICS: Commerce & Mathematics Association Inauguration 2K24

 COMEX and NUMINA, the Commerce and Mathematics Associations of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly launched 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at the College Auditorium.  The event started with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Aiswarya M., Mathematics Association Secretary. Dr. Renginy K.R., Commerce teacher-in-charge, presided over the session. The principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, inaugurated both associations, highlighting maths' universal relevance and commerce's daily impact. She praised the joint inauguration, showcasing maths' correlation with other subjects. The programme featured a logo reveal for NUMINA and felicitations from college union leaders.
