National Youth Day: Special Talk on Role of Youth in Nation Building

 The SOPHITS Social Science Association and National Service Scheme unit of Peet Memorial Training College observed National Youth Day on January 13, 2025, at the College Auditorium. Aswani L, a 2nd-semester B.Ed. Social Science student, delivered a talk on "Role of Youth in Nation Building," highlighting Swami Vivekananda's vision and the importance of youth commitment to society and nation-building. The event was marked with a call to action for youth to address societal hurdles with determination and cooperation. Joyal Joseph welcomed the gathering, and Arya A.R., NSS student coordinator, proposed a vote of thanks.

  The inauguration ceremony of the B.Ed. Course 2024-2026 was held at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 29th July 2024, with a lamp-lighting ceremony by former Principal Dr. Jiby George, setting the tone for the event. Rev. C.I. Jose delivered the presidential address, followed by Principal Alie Mollie Verghis introducing the B.Ed. programme.   An Online talk series on "Cases and Causes that Truly Matter" the free voice was organised by Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on August 2nd,2024, at 6:30 PM. The session was very insightful, focusing on the memoirs of special education, and was led by Dr. Anu Mukund, a lecturer in English at the National Institute of Speech and Hearing, Thiruvananthapuram.

COMATICS: Commerce & Mathematics Association Inauguration 2K24

 COMEX and NUMINA, the Commerce and Mathematics Associations of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, jointly launched 'COMATICS 2K24' on October 2024 at the College Auditorium.  The event started with a prayer song by the college choir, followed by a warm welcome by Ms. Aiswarya M., Mathematics Association Secretary. Dr. Renginy K.R., Commerce teacher-in-charge, presided over the session. The principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis, inaugurated both associations, highlighting maths' universal relevance and commerce's daily impact. She praised the joint inauguration, showcasing maths' correlation with other subjects. The programme featured a logo reveal for NUMINA and felicitations from college union leaders.
