Anti-Drug Campaign: 'Choice of Life'
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell, in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotic Cell and Counselling Cell of the Peet Memorial Training College, organised the anti-drug campaign 'Choice of Life,' which was held on March 27, 2025, at 10:30 am in the natural science classroom. Mr. Aji Aravind, Sub Inspector of Police, inaugurated the programme and ASSAD Sena, the wing of the National Service Scheme project. The ASSAD Sena Cell of the college is dedicated to creating a safe, drug-free campus environment through education, prevention, and support initiatives. The cell aims to equip students and staff with the knowledge and tools to combat drug abuse by fostering awareness and providing essential resources. Committed to promoting holistic well-being and responsible citizenship, the cell actively engages the college community in building a healthier and more secure future. The session started with a prayer song by the College Choir, followed by the welcome speech by Ms. Arya A.R. (NSS Volunteer Secretary). Dr. Sony Mary Varghese (Staff Secretary) presided over the session, and Mr. Aji Aravind, Sub Inspector of Police, inaugurated the session and interacted with student teachers about increasing drug abuse with activities. Mr. Sefon Sanu Mathew (Chairman, Dyuthi College Union) and Ms. Sruthy M. Nair (Coordinator, ASAAD Sena) felicitated the session, and Mr. Gnaesh U. (College Psychologist and Jeevani Centre for Well-being Coordinator of the College) remarked with a vote of thanks on this session.
