One Day Field Trip 2024 Travelogue

 The field trip for the First Semester B.Ed. students was conducted to Thiruvananthapuram on 27 September 2024. The journey commenced at 6:24 a.m. from the college, and breakfast was arranged at Hotel Bismillah, Nilamel, Kollam District. The trip began with a prayer led by Dr. Elizabeth Joshua, and the journey followed the Thazhakara–Adoor–Kottarakara–Vamanapuram–Kazhakuttom–Thiruvallam route. The first destination was the Kerala Arts and Crafts Village, Vellar, which was reached at 10:19 a.m. The village offered valuable exposure to Kerala’s rich artistic heritage through live demonstrations of crafts such as pottery, handloom weaving, woodwork, and bamboo products. Students were divided into groups to explore various sections showcasing traditional artefacts including textiles, statues, musical instruments, jute and metal products. Teacher's Day Celebration 2024

 The Teacher’s Day celebration at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, was organized by the NSS Unit on 5th September 2024 at 10:00 a.m. under the able leadership of the Principal, Dr. Alie Molly Verghis . The programme commenced with an address by the Principal, in which she highlighted the significance of education and emphasized the pivotal role of teachers as torchbearers of society. The session was presided over by the Programme Officer, Dr. Mumthas S . Ms. Atheena Jailal , a First Semester B.Ed. English student, offered Guruvandanam , followed by a Teacher’s Day message delivered by Ms. Lekshmi H , also from First Semester B.Ed. English. This was followed by a variety of celebratory activities, including games, cultural performances, and experience-sharing sessions, which witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and teachers. "SNEHAKOOTTE" Old Age Home Visit - September 25, 2024

 The National Service Scheme of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, organized a visit to Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed, an old age home in Haripad, on September 25, 2024, as part of the 'Snehakootte' initiative. The programme commenced at 10:30 am with a warm welcome address by Mr Shameer Muhammed, Director of Gandhi Bhavan Snehaveed, who introduced the volunteers to the home and its residents. Dr Mumtas S, Programme Officer, Mr Biju David, and Arya A.R., NSS Student Coordinator, delivered speeches, highlighting the significance of the visit. The NSS volunteers engaged the inmates in various activities, including music, experience sharing, games, and speeches, fostering a sense of camaraderie and joy. The volunteers also presented essential items to the inmates, which were subsequently distributed. NSS DAY Celebration & Orientation Programme

 The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of Peet Memorial Training College celebrated NSS Day on September 24, 2024, at the College Auditorium.  Dr. Azser R.N., State NSS Officer, Kerala State NSS Cell, inaugurated the event at 10:00 AM, highlighting the role of responsible volunteers in contributing to society and nation-building, especially for B.Ed. student-teachers. Dr Alie Molly Verghis, Principal, presided over the session, and Shri. Poulouse Koshy, Vice President of the Alumni Association, delivered a felicitation. Dr Mumthas S, NSS Programme Officer, welcomed everyone, and Ms Arya A.R. proposed a Vote of Thanks. The session wrapped up at 11:20 AM. The Orientation Programme for First-year NSS volunteers followed, led by Dr Azser R.N. SALUD' College Day 2024

 Pravega College Union 2023-2024, Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, hosted 'SALUD' College Day on September 11, 2024.  The event kicked off at 10 am with Mr Adith Rajesh, College Union Chairman, taking the helm. The Hon'ble Lok Sabha Member of Parliament, Mr Kodikunnil Suresh MP, inaugurated the celebrations. Dr. Alie Molly Verghis welcomed the dignitaries, and Mr. Adith Rajesh delivered the presidential address. Highlights included the presentation of the Annual Report and financial statements by Mr Jishnu M, General Secretary of Pravega College Union. Felicitations were offered by Dr Mumtas S, Mr Biju David, and Naveena M Sharma, followed by a Vote of Thanks by Indulekha O, Vice Chairperson of Pravega College Union. The formal session wrapped up at 12:30 pm, giving way to a vibrant cultural programme at 1:30 pm. Students, including the 2022-2024 B.Ed. batch, showcased their talents, bringing the College Day to a close at 4:30 pm. 

"Pookatte Kavadi" Onam Celebration 2024

 Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, celebrated "Pookatte Kavadi" Onam Celebration 2024 on September 10, 2024. The event, organised by Pravega College Union 2024 in collaboration with IQAC, commenced with the traditional 'Attapookalam'. The programme featured a range of activities, including the Onam special beauty contests 'Malayali Manka' and 'Kerala Shreeman', as well as various games such as 'Sundaranu Pottuthodual', 'Lemon and Spoon Race', Uriyadi, Pavakka Thinnal, and Thug of War. Onam Sadhya (lunch meals) was served to teachers, non-teaching staff, and students. The event witnessed a significant turnout of students and faculty members, contributing to its success.

Staff & Student Retreat 2024

 The Staff and Students Retreat was organised by the Religious Association of Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara, on 9th September 2024 at Peet Memorial Training College, Mavelikara. The Staff & Students Retreat starts with a Holy Communion at 9:30 am, celebrated by Rev. C.I. Jose (Vicar, C.S.I. Christ Church, Mavelikara) and ends at 10:20 am. Hon'ble Principal Dr Allie Molly Verghis delivered the vote of thanks. The Communion service, which included prayers, hymns, and a sermon, was a spiritual start to the day.  The retreat session for students started at 11:00 am and was led by Rev. Wesley P. Kuruvilla (Vicar, C.S.I. All Saints Church, Bharanickavu). He described the importance of teaching and how to mould students in QQAC (Question- Question- Answer-Conclusion) beyond moulding brilliant students.
